Anthony Pettis got back into the win column on July 7, 2018 after the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight champion choked out Micheal Chiesa at UFC 226 to score his first stoppage win since 2016.
A week removed from the show, “Showtime” is already eyeing his next fight, as he took to social media to call out a couple of high-profile fighters to meet him in the center of the Octagon.

Pettis vs Iaquinta? Yes, please!
Iaquinta was all set to face off against Justin Gaethje at UFC Fight Night 135 inside Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska on Aug. 25, 2018, but “Ragin’” bounced from the card and was replaced by James Vick.
Despite coming up short against Khabib Nurmagomedov in a last-minute title fight at UFC 223, Iaquinta had been on a roll as of late, winning five straight dating back to 2014 prior to his loss to “The Eagle.”
As for a battle against Nate — who hasn’t competed in two years — Pettis has been lobbying for that showdown for quite some time, but the youngest of the Diaz brothers doesn’t seem too interested in accepting the bout against the ex-155 pound champion.
Or anyone else, for that matter, unless the money is correct.
Nevertheless, if Iaquinta is healthy, ready and willing, Pettis is prepared to throw hands. You interested?
