Khamzat Chimaev calls out Neil Magny following the latter’s win over Geoff Neal.
Khamzat Chimaev has his sights set on Neil Magny following ‘The Haitian Sensation’s’ decision win over Geoff Neal at UFC Vegas 26, with ‘Borz’ seemingly demanding a fight against the No. 9-ranked welterweight.
“@NeilMagny you’re fighting me next. Don’t run like chicken We will see who slaps who in the cage @danawhite,” Chimaev posted.
Magny responded by teasing of a showdown this summer, claiming that Chimaev is asking for an ‘ass-whipping’.
I asked Neil Magny (@NeilMagny), is Khamzhat Chimaev (@KChimaev) a name that interests you?
“Yes. If he wants to come get an ass whipping this summer, let’s do it.”

“Yes. If he wants to come get an ass whipping this summer, let’s do it,” Magny told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.
Magny is just one of three opponents Chimaev plans to dispose of in 2021, with the undefeated welterweight and middleweight prospect targeting three fights — and three victories — by the end of the year.

“I’m fighting in August 170 lb September 185 lb November 170 lb December 185 lb be ready,” Chimaev posted in a follow-up Tweet, tagging Dana White along with UFC matchmakers Mick Maynard and Sean Shelby.
Chimaev was one of the most active (and ambitious) fighters on the roster prior to him being struck with COVID-19 in November, so expect the Russian to stay true to his word and stay active in 2021.
