Fighting and Entertainment Group’s mixed martial arts promotion, DREAM, held the weigh-ins for their first full event of 2011 on Friday, Sept. 23 in Japan.
The event features the opening round of the DREAM Bantamweight World Grand Prix, as well as including appearances by DREAM lightweight champ Shinya Aoki, who takes on former WEC vet Rob McCullough, and former Strikeforce title challenger Tatsuya Kawajiri, who meets ‘Hellboy’ Joachim Hansen.
DREAM.17 is scheduled to take place on Sept. 24 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The event will air live in North America on HDNet beginning at 3AM EST (12AM PST).
