Dustin Pague will not be taking any time off to celebrate last week’s win over Jared Papazian.
The UFC bantamweight has agreed to replace the injured Francisco Rivera versus Ken Stone at next week’s UFC on FX 4 event in Atlantic City, N.J., MMAFighting.com has confirmed with sources close to the fight. Rivera pulled out of the fight due to a staph infection.
Pague (11-5) needed just 3:21 to submit Papazian at UFC on FX 3 last Friday via first-round rear-naked choke. The win marked his first inside the Octagon.
Stone (10-3) most recently defeated Donny Walker at UFC Fight Night 25 last September.
This marks Stone’s third opponent for this fight, as he was originally scheduled to meet Edwin Figueroa before Figueroa pulled out due to an injury. The fight will take place on the Facebook prelims, which will air prior to the FUEL TV undercard and FX main card, headlined by Gray Maynard vs. Clay Guida.
