Dustin Poirier claims to have weighed 176 lbs. on fight night.
Dustin Poirier was notably thicker than Max Holloway in their interim lightweight title bout at UFC 236, and ‘The Diamond’ admitted on social media that he weighed a whopping 176 pounds on fight night — that’s 21 pounds heavier than the 155-pound weight limit.

“176 this last one,” Poirier said in response to a fan on Monday evening.
Even Holloway, the reining featherweight champion, has struggled to make the cut to 155 pounds in the past but the Hawaiian was definitely the smaller man at UFC 236.
Poirier seemed to brush off and walk through most of Holloway’s strikes while landing significantly harder punches and kicks of his own.
Poirier, who used to compete at 145 pounds, won the bout via unanimous decision and is expected to challenge official lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov in a title unification bout later this year.
Holloway will move back to featherweight where he will defend his title against former UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar at UFC 240. The pay-per-view is scheduled to take place on July 27 at Rogers Place in Alberta, Canada.
