Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is expected to fight Tony Ferguson next month at UFC on FOX 19, took EA Sports to task for the way it depicted his post-fight celebration in the EA Sports UFC 2 video game.
“The Eagle” is a practicing Muslim did not appreciate any references to the cross after winning his fights, an issue developers expect to fix in an upcoming patch.
“I’m not holding a grudge,” Nurmagomedov wrote (via Bloody Elbow). “They apologized and promised to fix it. Hopefully the next time they would not make mistakes like this, and to take account everybody’s religion.”
