Tough Media co-founder and ex-manager to the stars Ed Soares has a bone to pick with Gabi Garcia about some unpaid bills.
Ed Soares said late last year that he was giving up a lot of the things he became famous for – managing star fighters, running Black House and Tough Media – to step aside to run the new promotion that has arisen from the merger between RFA and Legacy FC. It seems as though he wants to vent some dirty laundry before he moves on though, and his target is one Gabi Garcia.
In an Instagram post, Soares took Garcia to task for allegedly not paying rent or utility bills in an apartment set up for her by himself and Tough Media partner Jorge Guimaraes. Apparently she still owes them a managerial fee for a 2015 fight in RIZIN as well:
The text reads as follows:
“WARNING!!!!! BEWARE OF GABI GARCIA!!! @gabigarciaoficial
This is what happens when you try to help an unethical person rent an apartment!!! She had no place to live and sure enough @jorgeguimaraes and I rent an apartment for her under our company name. So what does she do? She burns us and sticks us with a bill!!! Not only that but she owes Tough Media $4000 for commissions from her fight back on 12/31/15 and almost $3000 in unpaid utility bills. Be careful @titoortiz1999 @criscyborg @rayelbe or anyone else that comes in contact with her!!!”
Garcia is listed as a member of Team Black House on their website, though there are no fights listed to her name there. She has competed four times in RIZIN since NYE 2015, winning all four by stoppage.
