Eddie Mercado is joined by Victor Rodriguez to recap the vintage EliteXC Street Certified event, where Kimbo Slice knocked out Tank Abbott in 43 seconds in the main event.
On February 16, 2008m EliteXC held their Street Certified event from Miami, Florida which saw Kimbo Slice, also known as Kevin Ferguson, knockout Tank Abbott in a swift 43 seconds in the main event. This was Kimbo’s first-ever main event and second sanctioned MMA bout overall, and he did not disappoint. In the co-main event slot, Antonio Silva, better known as “Bigfoot,” went the distance with the UFC’s former heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez, who is actually scheduled to face Alex Nicholson this Thursday night.
Also on the card, we saw phenomenal knockouts from the likes of Scott Smith, Yves Edwards, Brett Rogers, and Rafael Cavalcante, who is better known by the name “Feijao.” Join Eddie Mercado and Vic Rodriguez as the relive the wild ride that was EliteXC’s 10th event, complete with results, analysis, and of course a few laughs.
