“WHAT ISLAND IS IT?!?!?!?!”

It’s no secret that Hawaiian-born Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight kingpin, Max Holloway, has a bit of a love affair going with his home away from home, once again touching down in Canada for another weekend (Sat., July 27, 2019) of fisticuffs. From Saskatoon to Toronto (twice) and now Edmonton, “Blessed” has embraced “The Great White North” with open arms. And local fight fans will more than likely reciprocate all week(end) long as their adopted son readies to punch former Lightweight titleholder, Frankie Edgar, in the face repeatedly in UFC 240’s pay-per-view (PPV) main event.

Before all of the action goes down inside Rogers Place, three of the main players — Holloway, Edgar and Felicia Spencer — give you a behind-the-scenes look at what’s going down during the ever-busy fight week.

From the official YouTube description:

“On Episode 1 of UFC 240 Embedded, featherweight champion and honorary Canadian Max Holloway lands in Edmonton and gets starstruck at a car show. Former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar balances work in the gym with family fun. Featherweight contender Felicia Spencer gets her body ready to stay up late and fight legend Cris Cyborg. UFC 240 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the featherweight title fight taking place Saturday, July 27 on pay-per-view.”

Spencer, of course, is slated to collide with former women’s 145-pound champion, Cris Cyborg, in UFC 240’s PPV co-main event. Cyborg — who will be satisfying the last fight on her current UFC contract — will be all sorts of motivated, looking to rebound from her knockout loss to Amanda Nunes, while simultaneously increasing her free agent value.

The good news for Spencer is that if she proves unsuccessful this weekend, she apparently has really pretty feet to fall back on.

It is what it is.
