Strikeforce officials have confirmed the entire Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg card with a total of thirteen bouts taking place as part of the Jan. 29 event at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
The main card will consist of four bouts which will air on the Showtime network beginning at 10PM EST (likely West coast will view event by tape delay at 10PM PST). The prelim card consists of nine matches with the first match taking place at approx. 4:30PM PST.
Headlining the card will be a Strikeforce welterweight title match between champ Nick Diaz (23-7, 1NC), who will defend his belt for the second time, and challenger Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos (18-13) who earns the shot after winning his debut at 170 lbs in his last fight.
The co-main event sees the Strikeforce middleweight title on the line as Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza defends his belt for the first time against “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler.
Also fighting on the televised card will be Herschel Walker vs. Scott Carson and Roger Gracie vs. Trevor Prangley.
