Former WWE star Terri Runnels has come forward to accuse Brock Lesnar of sexual misconduct.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is facing sexual misconduct allegations. This week, former WWE talent Terri Runnels came forward to reveal an alleged incident involving Lesnar inside a changing room around 2004.
“I don’t have a lot of respect for Brock, I don’t think Brock respects wrestling fans,” Runnels said on the KEE on Sports podcast this week (transcript by Yahoo! Sports). “Brock did something that if it was in today’s day and time… you know.
“He showed his penis to me and called my name as I was walking past where he was in the dressing room and opened his towel so I could see his manly bits.
“I would have much rather him not be so disrespectful of a female that’s been in this business for as long as I have been,” she added.
The WWE already released a statement regarding allegations that have been brought forth during the #SpeakingOut movement, which also laid out the possible sanctions:
Individuals are responsible for their own personal actions. WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault.
Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended. Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated.
WWE’s ability to fine, suspend or terminate a WWE talent will not be, however, limited or compromised in any manner in the event incontrovertible evidence of such illegal misconduct is presented to WWE.
Lesnar returned to the WWE in 2012 after retiring from MMA competition a year prior. He had one comeback fight in the UFC in 2016 at UFC 200 when he faced Mark Hunt. The original unanimous decision win for Lesnar was overturned to a No Contest after he tested positive for a banned substance. In 2019, he decided not to renew his UFC contract and retired from the sport.
Lesnar himself has not addressed the allegations as of yet.
