Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) brought together reigning featherweight champion, Max Holloway, and top title contender, Frankie Edgar, for a special UFC 240 media day, designed to hype up this summer’s pay-per-view (PPV) main event in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Watch “Blessed” tower over “The Answer” in their lopsided staredown video above.

Holloway vs. Edgar was initially booked for UFC 218 back in 2017; however, the bout was scrapped after the former lightweight champion was felled by injury. UFC tried to reschedule their championship dance just a few months later, but it was once again canceled after Holloway suffered a setback of his own.

That prompted Edgar to roll the dice at UFC 222 against late-replacement Brian Ortega, which resulted in the first knockout loss of his career (see it again here). “T-City” eventually went on to lose to Holloway later in the year, while “The Answer” got back into the win column against Cub Swanson.

That means No. 1-ranked featherweight, Alexander Volkanovski, will have to sit on the sidelines for the time being, despite a career-defining win over Jose Aldo at UFC 237 earlier this month in Brazil.
