Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently tied a ribbon around its UFC Fight Night 161 weigh-ins ahead of the “Joanna vs. Waterson” mixed martial arts (MMA) event tomorrow night (Sat., Oct. 12, 2019) inside Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
All 28 fighters scheduled to compete in “The Sunshine State” hit their respective marks without incident, including Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who created all sorts of media drama by telling the promotion she was unsure if she would make weight.
Unlike most UFC weigh-in events, there will be no ceremonial proceedings later in the day, so Jedrzejczyk and fellow headliner, Michelle Waterson, came face-to-face at the conclusion of the early weigh ins to make it official, as did co-headliners Cub Swanson and Kron Gracie.
