Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held a special pre-fight press conference for the upcoming UFC 244: “Diaz vs Masvidal” pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is set to go down on Nov. 2, 2019, inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Taking center stage were Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, the two men who will headline the card to see who goes home with the “Baddest Motherfucker” title. No, seriously it’s a real thing. The fight came to fruition after talks to stage a 170-pound title fight between division kingpin, Kamaru Usman, and former interim title-holder, Colby Covington, hit a speed bump, derailing it altogether.
Real belt or not, it seems fight fans were more eager to see “Gamebred” and the Stockton slugger throw down, anyway. More importantly than winning a made up title for shits and giggles, the two men could be fighting for a shot at the 170-pound strap, since it seems Covington and UFC can’t seem to get on the same page when it comes to salary.
