By being cruel to animals, Frank Shamrock is bringing awareness to animal cruelty.
The former UFC and Strikeforce attraction made headlines earlier this week after admitting to leaving a dog tied to the back of a truck for several days, with very little food or water, because he didn’t know what else to do with an old dog that had a “goofy hip.”
But just because he was in the wrong does not mean he’s being investigated and wants his loyal fans, what’s left of them, to know this whole kerfuffle was cooked up so that ABC News could grab some attention using his name.
“This is fake news ABC News edited to create a story,” Shamrock wrote on Instagram. “Very sad. “Rebecca Lopez you should be ashamed of yourself, I am not being investigated and only took the call to help bring awareness to animal cruelty and elder abuse. Funny how you don’t report the all the facts — just the names that create headlines.”
Shamrock (23-10-2), who retired back in 2010, was one of the biggest names in mixed martial arts (MMA) back in the early days of cage fighting. Unfortunately for the 46 year-old Californian, most fans only know him these days for this ongoing feud.
And being a dick to animals.
