Much like myself, die hard mixed martial arts fans look for ways of expressing their love for the sport by posting on forum boards, creating websites like TheMMANews.com or by creating fan posts.
This particular Fan Post comes via Anthony Alexander who wanted to express his top “7 MMA Fights” of 2013.
Fans reading through this “Fan Post” will immediately see the first listed bout as UFC 157. Now due to my busy schedule, I wasn’t able to put the article up in time but the man wasn’t wrong when it came to picking a “don’t miss” bout.
If you caught UFC 157, it was certainly one 2013′s more memorable events with UFC women’s champ Ronda Rousey solidifying her hold on the 135-lbs title.
Of course hindsight being 20-20, including UFC on FX 8 on the list would have made Anthony an MMA genius following the ‘Fight of the Year’ candidates in Wanderlei Silva vs. Brian Stann.
Regardless, hopefully you’ll enjoy this Fan Post and offer your own opinion on which 7 fights your excited to see in 2013.
7 MMA Fights You Don’t Want To Miss In 2013
Do you enjoy the thrill and intensity of MMA fights? If you love the sport and watch the stats, there are some fights in 2013 you simply won’t want to miss.
Fights in February
February is a very prime month for MMA fights, as several intense matches are sure to stir up excitement among fans all across the world. It would be wise to take these dates under heavy consideration and be sure not miss the action.
The Madness of March
With April Showers…
Legacy FC 19 – On April 12, check out Legacy FC 19 at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas. This fight has twelve matches schedules, including Will Campuzano vs Alan Nascimento, in a battle for the flyweight title. Only part of the Legacy FC 19 will be televised.
Maybe in May
MFC 37 True Grit – At the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the MFC 37: True Grit fight will commence. This event will see heavyweights Chris Barnett and Smealinho Rama square off for the vacant title, but it’s the debut of the bantamweight division which will add excitement to the Canadian event as Anthony Birchak faces fellow promotion newcomer Ryan Benoit. The event take place on May 10.
Further in the Year
Let’s be honest here. There is no way to know who is going to win which fights. Stats change as the year goes by, and favorites become underdogs. Because of this, it is hard to know exactly who will be fighting what matches later in the year. Though there are fights scheduled, such as UFC in August, it is still to be announced who will be participating. Keep your eyes peeled; your favorite may turn up in unexpected fights.
These fights are energetic, exciting, and intense. Plan ahead and watch your favorite fights throughout the year.
