Many Bothans cried to bring us this information.
Former Strikeforce headliner Gina Carano, who retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) back in 2010 to pursue a career in Hollywood, is getting torched by unhappy Star Wars fans for her recent activity on social media.
As of Sunday night, #FireGinaCarano was trending on Twitter.
Carano, 38, currently plays Cara Dune on the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” and has come under fire for her tweets on the presidential election, COVID-19, the LGBT community, and a couple of other hot-button topics.
Here’s a sample:
Gina Carano actively promotes hateful, bigoted views, has tweeted misinformation +conspiracies about the American election, doesn’t support wearing masks/treats COVID like a hoax, liked tweets about shooting protesters… this woman is not part of the Rebellion #FireGinaCarano pic.twitter.com/4u52pqI3vo

#FireGinaCarano Trending you love to see it
She’s spread batshit conspiracy theories about covid, spread batshit conspiracy theories about election fraud, and mocked pronouns. She no longer gets the benefit of the doubt.
Get her outta here, @starwars.

this isn’t just a difference in political opinions, what she has done and continuing to do is violent and harmful. she is supporting and defending white supremacists and their extremist ideals whilst voicing her own. #fireginacarano pic.twitter.com/bWg8bDNHzw

So y’all finally caught on to the fact that Gina Carano is a transphobic, racist snowflake who blocks anyone who criticizes her?
Awesome, let’s #FireGinaCarano and recast Cara Dune.

Carano announced on her Twitter account that she recently joined Parler, a relatively new social media app that allows users to communicate “free of agenda-driven shadow-banning” though some media outlets claim it’s a safe haven for extremists spreading misinformation.
“The more lying, cheating, demoralizing and hate I see, the clearer it is for me to feel the power of HOPE, TRUTH, RESPECT & LOVE,” Carano said. “Let your spirit be filled with strength and peace. Breathe.”
Episode four of The Mandalorian drops this Thursday on Disney+.
