Recent UFC title challenger Shane Carwin is among 22 professional
athletes cited as recipients of steroids distributed by Applied Pharmacy
Services, an Alabama-based organization, according to a report released
Friday evening on Al.com, courtesy of the “Mobile Press-Register.”
Assistant U.S. Attorney Donna Dobbins revealed Carwin’s name, as well as
six others, during the sentencing of J. Michael Bennett, a former
supervising pharmacist at Applied Pharmacy Services.
Bennett, who was convicted earlier this year, received a four-year prison term for his role in a nationwide conspiracy to illegally sell anabolic steroids.
