In his fight with James Vick at UFC Phoenix, Paul Felder fought through a collapsed lung in the third round.
Paul Felder’s manager has revealed “The Irish Dragon” suffered a collapsed lung late in his victory over James Vick this past weekend at UFC Phoenix.
Felder defeated Vick by unanimous decision in the co-main event of UFC Phoenix. It was a strike to the ribs from Vick in the third round that caused the injury to Felder, his manager Brian Butler first told ESPN. Felder is being held an extra day at a local hospital in Phoenix, much to his annoyance.
It’s been an unfortunate last two fights for Felder, in his previous outing against Mike Perry last year Felder broke his arm in the first round, and ended up fighting the next two rounds with the injury.
Before his win against Vick and loss against Perry, Felder (16-4) won three straight fights at lightweight before making the move up to 170-pounds, picking up stoppage wins against the likes of Charles Oliveira and Stevie Ray.
