Tony Ferguson has called out Jon Jones on social media.
Tony Ferguson the type of guy to move up three weight classes to challenge Jon Jones for the light heavyweight title.
At least, that’s what the former UFC interim lightweight champion seems to be suggesting on Twitter, as ‘El Cucuy’ recently called out ‘Bones’ — seemingly out the blue — for his ongoing ‘sh-t talk’ in the media.
This is all very random, but Ferguson did hint that he and Jones had crossed paths — possibly on the wrestling mats — in college. Ferguson won the National Collegiate Wrestling Association championship in 2006, while Jones, 32, won the National Junior College championship at Iowa Central Community College the same year.
Lot Of Shit Talk @JonnyBones You Wanna Play Again Like We Did In College? I Bumped Up Two Weight Classes & I’ll Do It Again Growth. You Wanna Play Chess I’ll Be Your Huckleberry. Got You In 2 Neanderthal, Talked To Your Pops He Knows Who’s Champ. # Anklepick # DavidVSGoliath pic.twitter.com/VaGUrm25OX

Ferguson is gearing up for an all but confirmed UFC lightweight title bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov, while Jones is expected to return to the Octagon in the new year to defend his light heavyweight title.
