Two men on impressive winning streaks will meet on the UFC’s Feb 6th event, as Diego Ferreira takes on Beneil Dariush.

An exciting lightweight rematch is being targeted for the UFC’s Super Bowl event on February 6th, as Diego Ferreira will attempt to avenge his loss against Beneil Dariush.

ESPN first reported the matchup, but the UFC is yet to confirm the booking. Ferreira and Dariush first met at UFC 179 in October 2014, with Dariush handing the Brazilian the first loss of his professional career.

Ferreira (17-2) is undefeated in the UFC since losing to top contender Dustin Poirier in 2015. The accomplished Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner won decisions against Rustam Khabilov and Mairbek Taisumov in 2019. Ferreira picked up the biggest win of his career at UFC 246 in January, submitting Anthony Pettis to win a $50,000 bonus.

Dariush (19-4-1) is also on an impressive winning streak at 155-pounds. The 31-year-old knocked out Scott Holtzman with a spinning back first in August, however he also missed weight for the fight coming in three-pounds over. Dariush knocked out Drakkar Klose at UFC 248 in March, earning the third performance bonus of his last four fights.

The UFC’s February 6th event is without a location or venue to its name but is expected to be headlined by a heavyweight fight between Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov.
