Roland Delorme started off so promising in the UFC. But now he’ll be looking for a new home.
Delorme won three of his first four fights in the organization. However, after falling in three straight bouts, the Winnipeg native was released by the UFC this week, he announced on Twitter.
Delorme (10-5, 1 NC) was classy in the tweet, thanking UFC brass for the opportunity. UFC officials were not immediately able to confirm the news Saturday afternoon.
“This isn’t the last you’ll hear of me,” Delorme wrote.
I wanna thank @ufc @seanshelby @danawhite joe silva for the opportunity to live a dream this isn’t the last you’ll hear of me.

The Canadian bantamweight got his start with the UFC on The Ultimate Fighter 14 in 2011, falling to current bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw by second-round submission in the quarterfinals. Then, Delorme reeled off a pair of wins before being knocked out by Francisco Rivera. The bout was changed into a no contest when Rivera failed a drug test.
Delorme, 31, knocked off Edwin Figueroa in June 2013 and then fell in three straight to Alex Caceres, Michinori Tanaka and Ulka Sasaki. The latter came by first-round submission in August.
Delorme is the latest of a series of cuts by the UFC. Isaac Vallie-Flagg, Guto Inocente, Fabricio Camoes and Phil Harris, among others, have all been released in recent days.
