Henry ‘The Messenger’ Cejudo, the 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist in freestyle wrestling, battles for the vacant Bantamweight Title with a 14-2-0 record, on a four-fight winning streak. His last victory was against T.J. Dillashaw, who he notoriously defeated in the main event via KO/TKO-Punches at 0:32 seconds into Round 1 at UFC on ESPN+ 1, back in January. Tapology.com has him ranked as the #1 MMA Fighter of the year and #2 Current Best MMA Fighter in his division.
Meanwhile, Title Contender Marlon ‘Magic’ Moraes, comes into this bantamweight war with a longer 22-5-1 professional record, also on a four-fight winning streak. His most recent victory being a main event win via Guillotine Choke at 3:17 in Round 1 against Raphael Assunção at UFC on ESPN+ 2, back in February. Moraes is listed via Tapology.com as the #1 Current Best MMA Bantamweight Fighter.
Not to be forgotten, this card also features a grueling UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship bout between the current Champion, Valentina Shevchenko, and Title Contender Jessica Eye, that’s sure to be well worth watching.
