Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is expected to grant top contender Brandon Moreno an immediate rematch following their majority draw at the UFC 256 pay-per-view (PPV) event last December in Las Vegas.

That’s according to longtime manager Wallid Ismail.

“100 percent his next fight is Moreno,” Ismail told BJPenn.com. “We are working on it happening in June. There is no date yet but Deiveson wants June.”

Their first go-round was a competitive affair, but the point deduction from referee Jason Herzog kept “The Assassin Baby” out of the loss column — while overshadowing some questionable scoring from judge Junichiro Kamijo.

Nothing is official at this time but their 125-pound rematch is likely to take place in either Las Vegas (APEX) or Abu Dhabi (Fight Island) as the promotion continues to map out its live events schedule for the remainder of 2021.

Figueiredo remains the odds-on betting favorite.
