UFC oddsmakers believe Deiveson Figueiredo will likely win his rematch against Brandon Moreno when the two flyweights eventually run it back for the 125-pound strap.

And they may have a point.

Specifically, the one taken by referee Jason Herzog, who along with some questionable scoring from judge Junichiro Kamijo, kept last weekend’s UFC 256 main event from ending in favor of Figueiredo.

It should be noted the champion, who settled for a majority draw, was also hospitalized the night before his fight.

That doesn’t take anything away from the “Fight of the Night” performance from the “Assassin Baby,” but certainly helps explain why Bovada has Figueiredo as the -275 betting favorite opposite +215 for the No. 1-ranked Moreno.

“We’ve got to give these guys some time off but you absolutely, positively do that rematch,” UFC President Dana White said at the UFC 256 post-fight press conference. “That’s another fun fight for us all to look forward to in 2021.”

Thanks, Mick!
