There will be plenty of action onscreen in 2020. Here’s a look at five movies fight fans might appreciate.

From Daniel Craig’s last outing as Bond (for real this time) and to the return of Russell Crowe to his action star wheelhouse as a deranged motorist, 2020 is chock-full of testosterone. Even much of the comedy is set within an action premise. Here are five films that might appeal to fight fans.

1.) No Time to Die – Daniel Craig, and pretty much everybody else, wasn’t all that happy with Spectre. Rather than let his great run as Bond end on a sour note, Craig decided to return for one last go at 007. He reportedly found a good working relationship with director and co-writer Cary Joji Fukunaga, and is much happier with this film as a final installment on his time as James Bond. Rami Malek comes on as the newest villain, with Christoph Waltz reprising his role from Spectre. With shooting lasting from April to October, and a budget of 250 million, No Time to Die promises to serve up the huge action sequences that have made the Bond films the second highest grossing film franchise in history.

2.) Free Guy – Ryan Reynolds plays, essentially, Ryan Reynolds in this new action comedy that gets points for mocking Disney in its official trailer. The dig at the studio (it makes fun of the fact Disney has made multiple movies twice over) also highlights one of Free Guy’s strengths—it is a standalone project based off an original screenplay. The high concept popcorn flick centers around a background character in a Grand Theft Auto-like video game who becomes sentient. Directed by Stranger Things’ Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds was deeply involved in the development of the project.

3.) Unhinged – Russell Crowe has recently been working in ensemble casts, but this road rage thriller seems like a natural fit for the notoriously hotheaded Aussie to take a star turn. The action starts when a frazzled mother lays on the horn at the wrong time, at the wrong man. Shot in New Orleans, the production was set in a well-to-do suburb and kept residents on their toes with explosions and car chases. The film is the first up-at-bat for new production house Solstice Studios.

Russell Crowe returns to the genre that made him a star in Unhinged.

4.) The Gentlemen – Guy Ritchie is back with another British crime caper. Starring Charlie Hunnam, Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding, Colin Farrell and a scenery-chewing Hugh Grant, The Gentlemen is about an American (McConaughey) who has set up a weed empire in the UK and is looking to get out of the business. In classic Ritchie fashion, the complicated plot involves backstabbing, double-crossing, bribery, and blackmail.

Release date: January 24, 2020

5.) Tenet – Christopher Nolan’s mysterious thriller has kept its plot under wraps, with the premise given as a simple, “a secret agent is tasked with preventing World War III through time travel.” Supporting actor Robert Pattinson stated the script was so secretive he was only allowed to read it once in a locked room. Starring John David Washington, son of Denzel best known for his work in BlacKkKlansman, the movie had a 225 million dollar budget and promises action sequences to rival No Time to Die. It shares the same release date as three of Nolan’s highest earning films, so perhaps magic will strike a fourth time for the British director.
