Streaking middleweight Makhmud Muradov has signed with the UFC.
Expect plenty of promotion from Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the lead-up to Makhmud Muradov’s Octagon debut, as it was just announced that the Mayweather Promotions fighter has signed with the UFC.
Muradov (22-6), who is the only MMA fighter to be promoted by Mayweather, is on an eleven-fight win streak and has finished all but two of those bouts via TKO/KO. The 29-year-old, Uzbekistan-based fighter competes at 185-pounds and hasn’t lost a fight in almost three years.
Mayweather, who is widely considered one of, if not the, greatest boxers of all time, hailed Muradov ‘the best MMA fighter in the world’.
“The best MMA fighter in the world! @makhmud_muradov,” Mayweather posted.
Muradov announced the news via Instagram on Monday.
“Alhamdulillah for everything that the Almighty gives me. Today I signed a contract with the strongest organization in the world @ufc I would like to thank my team of brothers for the work done @ adrian1mma @lusenbakos @first_mma_management Together we make the story of Alhamdulillah. Muradov will make his UFC debut against Italian middleweight Alessio Di Chirico later this month, Sept. 28 at UFC Fight Night 160 in in Copenhagen, Denmark.
