Check out the fourth episode of Embedded for the big Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight this weekend.
The UFC usually puts out a five or six-part Embedded series before every pay-per-view to get fans acquainted with the participants in the top fights and let people see what fight week is like. This time, they’re going to do it for their homegrown superstar Conor McGregor, who is set to take on Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a huge boxing match on August 26th.
Things start off with McGregor’s personal stylist fitting him for the press conference while his baby cries in the background. At the MGM, Dana meets with Floyd’s Money Team crew. Dana predicts that Conor and Floyd will either be really mellow or really crazy.
Floyd says there’s a ‘100% chance” the fight won’t go the distance. Conor takes the podium and is pretty reserved, but confident. Leonard Ellerbe introduces Floyd, who is chill as well and talks about giving and taking. He also runs down the guys he’s given it to; Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, and Shane Mosley are the names he uses.
During the faceoff, Conor does some quiet chirping and Mayweather just says “you’re a comedian”. Then McGregor does his “Bruce Lee sh-t”. He goes backstage and plays with his kid, saying that he would have grabbed the belt designed for the fight but this press conference seemed a lot more subdued.
Back at Mayweather’s boxing gym, he does a light workout on a heavy bag and speed bag before saying Conor better be ready for 12 rounds.
Mayweather and McGregor will meet on August 26th in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
