Junior Boya became the interim flyweight champion with a TKO victory over Marcos Vinicius “Cabecinha” to earn the interim title when he stepped in one day’s notice last July to replace Robson New, but he failed to unify the title against Rayner Silva at Jungle Fight 58 on Saturday night.

Jungle Fight 58 celebrated the 10th anniversary of the promotion in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Silva dominated the bout from the start, needing only 130 seconds to finish Boya with ground and pound, and improve to 4-1 in MMA with three TKO wins.

“I was well prepared, and I came to knock him out,” Silva said after his win. “I’m very happy with this win.”

Former Jungle Fight champion Erick Silva was in the attendance to watch his younger brother Bruno Silva make his MMA debut, but the fight didn’t go as he was expecting as Marcus Perez submitted him with a heel hook in the opening round.
