LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – “Sweet Dreams” handled his loss well.

Jamahal Hill’s epic return to active competition was spoiled by Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira last night at UFC 300 (Sat., April 13, 2024) when he was slept in the first round by a nasty left hook from inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (watch highlights).

Minutes after his loss, Hill took to social media to react to his heartbreaking loss.

“Oh well, that’s the game we play,” Hill said. “I got caught. For anyone that cares, I’m good. I’m well. We’re still doing our thing tonight, you know where we’re at – we’re over at Hakkasan. Yeah, man. We’re just built to come right back.”

While it was a devasting, heartbreaking loss, it was actually a low-key win because “Sweet Dreams” returned from a torn Achilles in only nine months—a crazy timeframe for a professional combat sports athlete.

Hill, 32, had his four-fight winning streak snapped at UFC 300 and suffered his second stoppage loss.
