Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Cody Pfister, who was last seen taking a submission win over Jonathan Gary at Bellator 174, found himself in hot water over the weekend in Amarillo, Texas.
“The Pfist” was arrested on a probable cause warrant for “bodily injury to a family member,” according Amarillo.com (via Bloody Elbow), for an incident that allegedly took place back on June 5th.
He remains innocent until proven guilty.
Pfister was released on $5,000 bond and later attended the inaugural “Fist Fight Night,” a regional mixed martial arts (MMA) event the local product formed alongside business partner Dustin Swaim, also in Amarillo.
After a successful run on the local circuit, Pfizer (13-6-1) made his UFC debut in early 2015; however, success did not come easy and the former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15 hopeful bounced after just four fights and a 1-3 record inside the Octagon, which included a UFC Fight Night 80 loss to Sage Northcutt.
