Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight No. 1 contender, Francis Ngannou, is from a shithole country like Africa, according to United States President Donald Trump, who allegedly made those incendiary comments during last week’s White House meeting on immigration.
“The Predator,” hailing from Cameroon, did not take it lightly based on the comments he made at the UFC 220 media day in Boston:
“All those people he was talking about, is people like us. For myself, for my goals is to leave my country and to see someone make the dreams and hopes for people. This guy is like shameful for America. America was built for immigration. America is the country that poor people in countries looking for, they don’t expect America to give them something, but just to look at them like an example to get a better situation. This country has been doing great with last president, like Barack Obama, people like Martin Luther King, people who had to work for that. Today we have people like Donald trump who come out and bring all that down. So it’s a shame.”
Georgia Republican Sen. David Perdue called the shithole report a “gross misrepresentation” of the facts.
Ngannou will do some representing of his own in the UFC 220 pay-per-view (PPV) main event this Saturday night (Jan. 20, 2018) inside TD Garden Arena in Boston, Mass., where he battles reigning heavyweight kingpin Stipe Miocic for the 265-pound strap.
A fight that proves dreams do come true, no matter when you’re from.
