Israel Adesanya will defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight title against Marvin Vettori at the upcoming UFC 263 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is set to go down on Sat., June 12 inside Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

The two men initially threw down in April 2018 — also in Glendale — which ultimately saw “The Last Styelbender” escape with a split decision victory over “The Italian Dream.” Adesanya eventually went on to win the 185-pound title while Vettori put the work in to earn the title fight and rematch.

Given the close nature of their first encounter, Vettori is coming into the do-over with tons of confidence and feels he has what it takes to end Adesanya’s run as division kingpin. Of course, the champ has also improved leaps and bounds since their first fight, so the rematch should be interesting to say the least.

The co-main event of UFC 263 — which will have fans in attendance — will see Deiveson Figueiredo defending his Flyweight belt against Brandon Moreno a second time while Nate Diaz and Leon Edwards collide in a five-round Welterweight scrap.
