Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to stage its second to last event on “Fight Island” of 2020 this Saturday night (Oct. 17, 2020), as UFC Fight Island 6 goes down inside Flash Forum, located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Headlining the ESPN+-streamed event will be a highly-anticipated Featherweight bout between Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung. The two were set in talks to face off for some time now, but for one reason or another the bout never came to be. Now, the talented 145 pounders will put it all on the line for a potential shot at the division strap.

And it’s safe to say that the tension and beef between the two has escalated over the past few months.

Before they finally settle their difference inside the cage, let’s go back in time to see one of Ortega’s best performances inside the Octagon. Back in 2017, “T-City” found himself face-to-face with longtime veteran, Cub Swanson, in the main event of UFC Fight Night 123.

The first round was highly-entertaining as both men were content with letting the action play out on the feet, throwing bombs at one another, though no one really connected cleanly. In the closing seconds of the round, however, Ortega trapped Swanson in an anaconda choke that had him fighting for air. Thankfully for Cub, time ran out and he lived to fight another round.

In round two, the action once against started off with pure striking. But with two minutes to go, Ortega once again sunk in a tight submission, this time it was a standing guillotine choke. After a few seconds of struggling, Swanson had no choice but to tap, giving Ortega his thirteenth straight win.

Now, “T-City” is perhaps one more win away from getting another shot at winning UFC gold, all he has to do is take out “The Korean Zombie,” a man who has made a name for himself for being able to take a licking and keep on ticking.
