Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return to action once again this weekend (Sat., Feb. 6, 2021) with UFC Vegas 18, which goes down inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ESPN+-streamed event will feature a Heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov.

Before then, let’s take a look at one of “Drago’s” best performances so far inside the world-famous Octagon, which just so happened to be his most recent fight. Back in October of 2020, Volkov faced off against hard-hitting big man, Walt Harris, at the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje-led UFC 254 pay-per-view (PPV) event on “Fight Island.”

The first five minutes of the fight was fairly even, with both men finding success on the feet. But with under a minute left in the round, “Drago” clipped Harris and had him reeling against the cage, though Walt was able to fight himself out of trouble.

Early in round two, Volkov landed a straight right front kick to the body the visibly hurt Harris, forcing him to wince in pain and buckle over in agony. It didn’t take long for “Drago” to jump in and finish the job with several strikes.

Now, Volkov will look for back-to-back wins for the first time since early 2018 in an effort to infiltrate himself into the mix of the 265-pound championship race by taking out the streaking “Demolition Man.”
