Jairzinho Rozenstruik will look to get back in the win column when he takes on Augusto Sakai in the main event of UFC Vegas 28, which is set to go down on June 5, 2021 inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before then, let’s take a trip down Memory Lane to see one of “Bigi Boy’s” brightest moments so far inside the Octagon.
In Aug. 2020, Rozenstruik found himself locked in the cage with former Heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos at the UFC 252 pay-per-view (PPV) event. Naturally, the heavy hitters were both big men were cautious early, picking their shots and trying to get their timing down.
In round two, however, things picked up and Rozenstruik tagged “Cigano” with a right hand that dropped the ex-title holder. “Bigi Boy” then followed it up with a barrage of lethal ground-and-pound to put an end to the fight. Now, the hard-hitting big man hopes to bounce back after coming up short against Ciryl Gane in an attempt to regain some of the momentum he had early on in his UFC career.
A win over Sakai – who is coming off a devastating knockout loss at the hands of Alistair Overeem – would be a big plus while a loss, on the other hand, will send him spiraling further down the 265-pound ladder.
