Jon Jones will make one of the quickest turnarounds of his mixed martial arts (MMA) career this Sat. night (March 2, 2019) when he steps into the Octagon to face Anthony Smith in the main event of UFC 235 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Bones” just competed at UFC 232 on Dec. 29, 2018, where he reclaimed his UFC Light Heavyweight title by knocking out Alexander Gustafsson in the third round of their headlining championship rematch. With the win, not only did he go up 2-0 against “The Mauler,” but earned the top spot at 205 pounds once again due to Daniel Cormier relinquishing his title.
And he plans on being a busy man in 2019 to make up for lost time.
Now, Jones will look to add to his already-impressive resume inside the Octagon as he looks to score his ninth title defense at 205 pounds against a man who is determined to shock the world.
Before that goes down, take a look at Jones’ dominant performance over Gustafsson in “Sin City” in the video embedded above, and click here to see the most up-to-date lineup for UFC 235: “Jones vs Smith,” only on pay-per-view (PPV).
