Tyson Fury gets a callout from another notable heavyweight fighter.
Boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury failed to capture the WBC title in 2018 when he fought Deontay Wilder the first time. On Saturday, “The Gypsy King” did the exact opposite and finished “The Bronze Bomber” via seventh round TKO.
Basking in what could be his biggest victory to date, Fury officially declared himself back into the top of boxing’s heavyweight landscape.
“[Deontay Wilder] will be a champion again, but I will say the king has returned to the top of the throne.”

“A big shout out to Deontay Wilder,” Fury said during his post-fight interview. “He came here tonight, he manned up, he really did show the heart of a champion. I hit him with a clean right hand and dropped him, and he got back up and battled on to round seven.
“He is a warrior, he will be back, he will be a champion again. But I will say the king has returned to the top of the throne.”
Fury’s performance and victory caught the attention of former UFC heavyweight title challenger Francis Ngannou, who went on to issue a challenge.
“The Predator” already expressed interest in fighting Fury in MMA, then return the favor and do it again inside the boxing ring. For his part, Fury also welcomes a matchup against some of the UFC’s big men like Ngannou, Stipe Miocic, and Jon Jones, but wants it to strictly be a stand-up fight.
