Tyson Fury says he is taking the coronavirus “deadly serious”, and so should you.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has urged the British public to follow the strict guidelines implemented around the nation and stay indoors to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, made an announcement on Monday evening encouraging the British people to stay inside at all costs in an attempt to limit the spread of COVID-19. The heavyweight champ Fury reiterated Johnson’s message in a recent video, urging the public to comply with the new rules.

“First of all I’d just like to say hope everyone is keeping well, staying safe indoors and not going out spreading the virus,” Fury said. “After listening to what the Prime Minister said I’m taking it deadly serious as should you??. Let’s fight this virus together as a nation, as a family and as a team?.”

Johnson’s new guidelines meant social gatherings of more than two people were banned, excluding those in the same household. The leader encouraged those to work from home, if possible and not go to work. Fines will be issued to members of the public if they do not comply with the rules.

“It’s very very important to listen to Boris and stay indoors?. I’ve had a person bring the gym over to me today, I’ve got a running machine and a few free weights. I’m going to keep fit and post daily videos of myself training and working out, to keep you going and keep me going. Everybody knows without the gym I’m finished.”?????

Fury (30-0-1) won the WBC heavyweight title back in February against Deontay Wilder (42-1-1), stopping the former champion in the seventh round to remain undefeated.
