In fact, Coenen knows she may not have seen the last of the military veteran, whom she calls a “future champion.”

But with her co-main-event win, Coenen now is focused on two other opponents: Miesha Tate, whom Carmouche replaced, and Strikeforce women’s middleweight champ Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos.
