Mickey Gall just had a fight on Saturday night in Newark, New Jersey, but it sounds like he’s ready to go again if it means getting to punch “Platinum” Mike Perry in the face.
Gall got back into the win column with a three round decision over Salim Touahri at UFC on ESPN 5, moving his relatively short but impressive resume up to 6-2. For a while Gall was making his name taking out much hyped but less skilled members of the roster like Phil Brooks a.k.a CM Punk and Sage Northcutt. But when he tried to transition up into legend killer with a fight against Diego Sanchez, he came up short losing by TKO in the second round.
Gall said afterward that his kidneys had shut down from a bad weight cut and he shouldn’t have even competed. That didn’t and still doesn’t sit well with Sanchez’s training partner Mike Perry, who threw this little jab out on social media after Gall’s win:
Making excuses about getting dominated by @DiegoSanchezUFC shows @mickeygall still green. Even if you were sick it’s up to you to get in the octagon ready and prepared. Keep workin , Maybe you’ll catch these hands instead of the flu one day

A smiling Mickey Gall got serious when Perry’s tweet was read to him.
“F**k Mike Perry,” he responded when asked what he thought.
Interested in a fight then?
“Yeah, f**k it,” Gall said. “If he gets through my boy Vicente Luque, me and Perry could absolutely do it.”
Perry fights Luque at UFC Fight Night 156 in Uruguay on August 10th, so if he did win the two would line up schedule wise for a fight three or four months down the road. Honestly, win or lose it’s still a good opportunity for Gall. Perry’s personality and fighting style has allowed him to stand out from the pack, and he’s another slugger Gall could potentially take down and tap out.
