The promotion returns to Ireland on Friday, September 27 at the 3Arena.
Bellator is set to return to 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Friday, September 27. There, Irish sensation James Gallagher (9-1) will look to defend his home turf against Cal Ellenor (8-2), in the bantamweight main event of Bellator Dublin.
James Gallagher is set for his anticipated return to Dublin, where he will hope to continue his winning ways in 2019, after recently defeating Jeremiah Labiano in London last month. Hailing from Strabane, Ireland, the Straight Blast Gym (SBG) product is one of the brightest young stars in the MMA world, and is looking to notch his 10th career victory. Following a third-round finish over Anthony Taylor at Bellator 169 and a first-round submission win against Steven Graham at Bellator 217 in February, the ‘Strabanimal’ will likely want to repeat the prior success that he’s experienced inside Dublin’s 3Arena, in front of the Irish faithful.
On the heels of a first-round submission win over Nathan Greyson in his promotional debut at Bellator Newcastle, England’s Cal Ellenor will return to the cage seeking his fourth win in five outings. Ellenor – who fights out of Sunderland, England and trains at TFT MMA – has competed all across the globe, but it is unlikely Cal “Pacino” has ever entered the cage in such hostile territory. Much like anyone who faces James Gallagher in Ireland, Ellenor will look to play the role of spoiler when he returns to action in September.
Tickets for Bellator Dublin go on sale to the general public Friday, July 5 at 9 a.m. BST, with a special pre-sale scheduled for Thursday, July 4 at 9 a.m. BST using code “SOCIAL” upon purchase. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.ie and Bellator.com, as well as the 3Arena box office.
More fight announcements are expected over the coming days.
