Screw Fall, it’s ducking season.

Top Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight contender Ian Garry has been calling for a fight with former three-time Welterweight title challenger Colby Covington for a few years now, and it has yet to come to fruition. “The Future” instead faces Shavkat Rakhmonov in a No. 1 contender fight at UFC 310 in two weeks from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The day that Garry vs. Rakhmonov was announced, UFC also announced Covington will now face Joaquin Buckley, who was supposed to collide with the Irish fighter at UFC Tampa.

As expected, Garry is not happy and has trashed “Chaos.”

“This just shows that this c—t is ducking me,” Garry said while showing the Buckley vs. Covington fight announcement on Instagram. “He’s been ducking me for 7-8 months. I signed for the baddest man in the division, and this guy comes out of the shadows. He’s a p—y. He’s a b—tch, and one day, I’ll get my hands on him.”

As reported by MMAMania.com previously, Garry was offered to Covington several times for the final UFC fight card of 2023, but the fight never materialized.

Now that Garry has a new opponent, he is backing his former scheduled opponent to defeat Covington a week after he fights.

“Joaquin Buckley, I am behind you 100% of the way,” Garry said. “Go out and put that man to sleep. Please and thank you. Do it for me.”

There is no telling if Garry and Covington will ever cross paths at this point, as the undefeated Irish fighter is close to a 170 lb title shot with a win, and Covington is fighting once every 87 years.
