Press Release – New York, NY (October 11, 2012) This weekend GFL and Comcast continue their weekly combat sports series with the premier full-rules Muay Thai promotion on the East Coast as TaKe On Productions presents Battle at Bally’s II. Battle at Bally’s II is anchored by a main event and co-main event that fans have been anticipating for months.
The main event will feature two professional Muay Thai fighters hailing from the Big Apple, as Jay Matias from Sitan Gym and Douglas Ahammer from Chok Sabai Gym go toe to toe in the ring. This bout will be contested in the 132 lb weight division so be ready for nonstop striking coming from all angles as both Matias and Ahammer are known for their fast-paced fights.
The Co-Main Event features a rematch of a controversial draw from the historic Muay Thai at the Mecca as Sean Hinds battles Deshawn Robinson. Look for one of these fighters to make a definitive statement with a convincing win, leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind who is the better fighter.
Air times will be in primetime from 8-10 PM EST Saturday evening on TCN, with replays on Sunday evening from 8-10 PM EST on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and 11:30 PM – 1:30 AM EST on CSN Washington. Comcast subscribers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, New Jersey and even some parts of New York will have access to Battle at Bally’s II this weekend.
