Mike Tyson may be gone, but the event must go on.

Social media star and unlikely boxing sensation, Jake Paul, has found a new opponent in the face of bare knuckle, ex-UFC fighter Mike Perry. It’s Paul’s first time in the cage with a UFC veteran since he boxed up Nate Diaz last year, but there’s something a little different about “Platinum.” Perry is still at the height of his prime and has won six straight in combat sports, showing off excellent durability and knockout power in the process.

It’s a gamble for Paul, who easily could have waited for Tyson to heal up and the Netflix money to roll in. Instead, he’ll face perhaps his biggest threat to date, at least in terms of cage fighters crossing into the ring.

Let’s see who walks away with bragging rights?

Live updates will begin to flow below the moment the two fighters make their way to the Octagon …

Perry was the first man to make the walk, followed by Paul being pulled by a chariot.

Round One

Paul keeps his feet moving and lands a hard body shot right off the bat. Perry presses and stays in his face, only to get dropped by Paul’s first right hand of the fight! Paul lands his next combination too, but Perry takes it well. Finally, Perry let his hands go with a combo along the ropes. Mostly, however, he spends the round taking stiff shots.

10-8 Paul

Round Two

Paul cracks Perry again with another huge overhand and floors him for the second time early. Perry is hurt worse this time, but he still regains his footing and stays on the front foot. Paul’s jab is looking particularly snappy tonight. Perry lands a big left hook and then throws Paul to the floor from the clinch, earning a talking to from the referee. Another left hook from Perry! He’s fully dropping his hands, getting wild, and starting to find a bit of success as a result. Wild times!

10-8 Paul

Round Three

Perry opens the third with a body hook then a right to the torso. Paul answers with a solid left hook counter. Perry lands a couple left hooks, and one wobbles Paul’s knees a bit. Paul sticks a good uppercut then a few jabs. Perry is walking him down hard and starting to connect more often, but he’s still behind on the overall punch count. Uppercut counter from Paul. Paul is cut! Perry closes off a competitive round with a nice left hook.

10-9 Paul

Round Four

Perry goes Southpaw, and the two trade straight power punches. Perry looks a bit stunned early. He recovers and finds the left uppercut. Paul left hook wobbles Perry badly, but he stays upright. Paul tags him up with powerful jabs. Huge combination lands for Paul, and somehow, Perry doesn’t hit the canvas. He’s getting torched this round, but Perry refuses to go down. Unbelievable heart from the Bare Knuckle King, but this is getting ugly.

10-9 Paul

Round Five

After some doctor inspection, the fight goes forward. Perry is still wobbly, and he’s eating jabs. Finally, Perry has eased off the pressure. So many sharp jabs land for Paul, who is treating Perry like a punching bag at range. Perry’s face is looking rough, and the referee is watching closely. His offense has fallen off considerably, but he survives the round.

10-9 Paul

Round Six

Perry looks a little recovered at the start of the round, but Paul smacks him with a body shot. Paul stuns Perry with a left hook, then he flurries with an extended combination that floors Perry for the third time. Perry is able to get back to his feet, but the referee has seen enough, and he mercifully calls a stop to the beating.
