Glory is coming back to Southern California.

Middleweight champion Artem Levin will defend his title in the main event of Glory 21 against the Glory 20 tournament winner May 8 in San Diego, the organization announced Monday. The event will take place at Valley View Casino Center and the main card will air live on Spike TV.

Levin, 28, won the title against Joe Schilling at Glory 17 last June in the finals of the middleweight Last Man Standing tournament. The Russian fighter defeated Alex Pereira and Felipe Verlinden to make the championship bout.

The Glory 20 middleweight contender tournament will decide Levin’s opponent in San Diego. Jason Wilnis, Wayne Barrett, Simon Marcus and Pereira are the four men involved on the card, which takes place in Dubai on April 13.

Also at Glory 21, there will be a heavyweight qualification tournament, featuring all American heavyweights, sources told MMAFighting.com. The winner of that four-man tournament will earn a spot in Glory’s heavyweight contender tournament later this year.
