Glory 38 Chicago Vakhitov vs. Cavalari live results and discussion online

Check out the full fight card for Friday’s Glory 38 show featuring a Light Heavyweight title fight and more.

Tonight Friday, February 24, Glory returns to the Windy City for Glory 38. Glory 38 Chicago is headlined by a world title fight rematch along with a Light Heavyweight tournament. The event kicks off with the Superfight Series on UFC Fight Pass at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by the Glory 38 card live on ESPN3 at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Headlining Glory 38 is a rubber match for the Light Heavyweight title as champion Artem Vakhitov takes on Saulo Cavalari. Vakhitov won the title from Cavalari last March, and has since had one successful defense. They look to settle their series here. Also on the main card is a strong Light Heavyweight tournament featuring fan favorite Zack Mwekassa and veterans Danyo Ilunga and Zinedine Hameur Lain.

UPDATE: Zack Mwekassa is out of the fight due to an undisclosed medical issue. Mwekassa made weight Thursday night, but was then not cleared to fight by the Illinois State Athletic Commission. Reserve fighter Brian Collette takes his place.

The Superfight Series is headlined by a good Heavyweight fight pitting Benjamin Adegbuyi against Anderson Silva. Catalin Morosanu makes his Glory debut here, which is exciting news for anyone who has followed the career of the always entertaining Romanian fighter. The Superfight Series also features my pick for Fight of the Night: Murthel Groenhart vs. Thongchai. Don’t miss that one.
