AMSTERDAM – GLORY returns to Paris, France on Saturday, June 22 for GLORY 66 PARIS at the Zénith Paris – La Villette.
All bouts for the card are now official.
Welterweight champion Cédric ‘The Best’ Doumbé (72-6-1, 42 KO’s) takes on Alim ‘The Professor’ Nabiyev (51-7, 21 KO’s) in the GLORY 66 PARIS main event while super-bantamweight champion Anissa Meksen (98-4, 31 KO’s) defends her title against Sofia ‘The Wolf’ Olofsson (49-8, 21 KO’s) in the co-main event.
Light-heavyweight prospect ‘The Infamous’ Luis Tavares (60-7, 22 KO’s) will now face Brazilian counterpart Felipe Micheletti (15-7, 5 KO’s) on the main card following the withdrawal of Stéphane Susperregui due to injury.
The main card opens with hotly-tipped welterweight prospect Hamicha (37-2, 27 KO’s) – who won his GLORY debut via a stunning head-kick KO in the first round – taking on British veteran Adam Hadfield (20-4-1, 10 KO’s).
In the main event of the GLORY 66 Superfight Series card, light-heavyweight champion Artem Vakhitov (20-5, 8 KO’s) defends his world title against Donegi ‘The Silverback’ Abena (24-5, 6 KO’s).
Prior to that, Latvian light-heavyweight Artur Gorlov (23-8, 10 KO’s), initially scheduled to face Micheletti, will now face Armenian newcomer Yegish Yegoian (31-8-2, 9 KO’s), who enters the GLORY ranks off the back of a KO win in December.
The Superfight Series card also hosts the return of Mohammed ‘The Destroyer’ Jaraya (64-7, 36 KO’s)to the lightweight division for a fight with Stoyan ‘The Sniper’ Koprivlenski (10-3, 4 KO’s).
French heavyweight Nordine Mahieddine (23-8, 12 KO’s) was set to face Tomas Moazny, but an injury in training means the slot will now be taken by Croatian newcomer Antonio Plazibat (15-3, 1 KO’s), who has three wins over GLORY veterans on his record.
The Superfight Series card opens with Vakhitov’s team mate Aleksei Ulianov (28-6-1, 1 NC, 7 KO’s)facing Japanese featherweight standout Masaya Kubo (17-10-1, 5 KO’s).
In the headline bout of the GLORY 66 Preliminary Card, France’s Michaël Palandre (29-2, 12 KO’s) welcomes Russian newcomer Vlad Tuinov (41-3, 13 KO’s) to the organization in what will be a key test for both fighters.
Prior to that bout, the heavy-handed Guerric Billet (30-3, 14 KO’s) faces British lightweight William Goldie-Galloway (14-5, 9 KO’s) and French middleweight Matthieu Ceva (1-1) faces Czech adversary Mat?j Pe?áz (21-3, 10 KO’s).
The GLORY 66 Preliminary Card commences with the undefeated 19-year-old Sarah Moussadek (9-0, 3 KO’s) facing Aurore Dos Santos (2-0).
