Connor Ruebusch and Patrick Wyman look back at the strange and spectacular results of UFC 215 and Superfly boxing, and preview the upcoming clash between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez.

The docket is full this week, so prepare yourself for a jam-packed episode. Connor and Patrick look back at the controversial result in UFC 215’s Nunes vs Shevchenko, and discuss other noteworthy aspects of the event, including the terrible punishment endured by Gavin Tucker, who took at least three minutes of sustained and thoroughly unnecessary punishment thanks to his corner and the referee in the bout, who might as well have spent the duration of the contest in the restroom for all the good he did Tucker.

Anyway, after that, it’s on to last weekend’s Superfly boxing card, which featured the downfall of the great Roman Gonzalez, and–in contrast to the disgraceful events on the UFC undercard–some excellent, prudent cornering by Joe Delguyd. MMA fans may know Delguyd as trainer of UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and former trainer of bantamweight champ Cody Garbrandt. When working the corner of Antonio Nieves, Delguyd only allowed Nieves to absorb so much punishment from Naoya “The Monster” Inoue before stopping the bout. If you happen to see Joe on Twitter, please let him know that fight fans appreciate fighter safety.

Finally, we wrap our episode up with analysis and predictions for the upcoming superfight between Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, as well as the weekend’s UFC card, featuring a middleweight bout between former UFC champion Luke Rockhold and former (two-weight) WSOF champion David Branch.
