Combate Americas is back on Univision and Univision Deportes next month with its “Mexico vs. USA” mixed martial arts (MMA) event, headlined by the bantamweight showdown pitting UFC veteran Erik Perez (18-6) opposite “Contender Series” standout John Castaneda (16-4).
The action takes place live from inside AVA Amphitheater at Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Ariz. on Sat, Oct. 13, 2018, with the entire event available by way of live stream on the DAZN digital network, beginning at 10 p.m. ET.

“Both Mexico and the U.S. have eagles as symbols, and this fight between ‘Goyito’ Perez and ‘Sexi Mexi’ Castaneda is, indeed, a clash of ferocious, fighting eagles,” said Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren.
The winner of Perez vs. Castaneda is expected to face newly-crowned Combate Americas bantamweight champion Jose “Pochito” Alday in first-quarter 2019.
Joining the “Mexico vs. USA” line up is Anthony “El Toro” Birchak (12-6), as he collides with Adam “The American Bully” Martinez (5-1). In addition, Juan “El Molo” Pablo Gonzalez (7-1-2) goes head-to-head with undefeated Mario Bautista (5-0), not long after Arturo “Chucky” Guzman (2-2) and Kasey Tanner (1-0) hook ‘em up in bantamweight action.
Elsewhere on the card, Jair “El Lupe” Perez (1-0) tangles with Peter De La Cruz (1-0), while Misael “Pitbull” Iñarritu (6-2) collides with Peter Quezada (1-4) in a 160-pound catchweight contest.
Doors to the AVA Amphitheater at Casino Del Sol open at 6 p.m. PT, with the first preliminary bout will beginning at 7 p.m. local time.
